Matthew S. Canno

Profile: Matthew S. Canno's practice focuses primarily on real estate litigation and negotiation as well as employment issues. Matt has successfully handled the purchase and sale of multimillion dollar commercial and residential real estate. Matt has additionally negotiated leases on behalf of both landlord and tenants. Matt is particularly well-versed in distressed real estate, negotiating the purchase of promissory notes from banks, short sales, and bank-owned real estate.

Additional Experience: Matthew Canno has been a commercial and residential real estate developer for five years and has developed properties in University City, Rittenhouse Square and South Philadelphia as well as the YMCA building in Center City. In addition to his real estate expertise, Mr. Canno is CEO of Philadelphia Settlement Brokers, a life settlement brokerage firm that sells existing life insurance policies on the secondary market. He is also the co-founder of Strikes Bowling Lounge in University City and he was featured in the February 2007 edition of Philadelphia Magazine for his entrepreneurial success. Mr. Canno holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School.
